Thus, in light of this special mission, she was given the special grace to see and be guided in a special way by her guardian Angel. But now after reading her journal, it only made me think..<BR/><BR/>I myself have suffered many times by that "voices" in myself, making me feel ashamed of myself, angry or sorrowful- while actually doing nothing wrong! In my opinion Gemma's "angel" was not an angel at all!! No angel will ever make another person cry or feel bad about him/herself.. I think he might have been a bad spirit or just her own imagination of her mind.. She had a bad childhood so it reflects on her.. also maybe a mental illness.<BR/><BR/>Though I'm not saying she wasn't a pure and loving soul and that she loved God dearly. I only know that when her time came and she reached heaven- then she knew who is God for Real.. Only Loving and loving Unconditionally.. All of the doubts and anger we have toward ourselves or fears we are not loved- are false beliefs from our own human minds..<BR/><BR/>This is what I think..<BR/>I think this is another case of me understanding.. that you should never judge or admire someone just because someone else thinks he is a saint or a "bad" person.. we all need to see for ourselves.. but in the end we are all saints and pure spirits- loved by God.. :-)<BR/><BR/>I don't think I'll come back here much.. They are indeed very inpirational and edifying.<BR/>Fortuneately a few people have already translated Gemma's diary into English, beginning in the mid-1940's in preparation for the book "Portrait of Saint Gemma -A Stigmatic". <BR/>The only one that is in print however is Professor Rudolph M Bell/Christina Mazzoni's book "The Voices of St Gemma Galgani -The Life and afterlife of a Modern Saint".<BR/><BR/>What I would really like and am praying for is someone to translate her Ecstasies and Letters<BR/>into English.<BR/>They are both fully published in Italian, but only a few letters and ecstsies have been translated into English.<BR/>It would be a pretty big task however, as the book is over 300 pages.
