St Gemma Chapel in Sittard Netherlands


Tim from the Netherlands, a friend in St Gemma, recently made a pilgrimage to the Chapel of Saint Gemma in Sittard, Netherlands. The Chapel is cared for by the Passionist Nuns. Tim has created a blog with many photos of the Chapel. In the photos, Tim points out that the Chapel has beautiful stained glass windows, one with Gemma looking heavenwards, with her hands stigmatised, along with some stained glass windows of several other Passionists Saints. Behind the main altar there is a painting of St Gemma in ecstasy. The Chapel also has a 5 ft statue of Saint Gemma and also a devotional sanctuary with St Gemma candles that can be lit for special intentions or novena's, along with a side altar to the Blessed Virgin Mary, of whom St Gemma was so devoted.
