Old Blessed Gemma Galgani postcard

I just received a beautiful, old Gemma Galgani postcard in pristine condition that was issued from the Monastery of St Gemma in Lucca, Italy, from the period when she was declared "Blessed", which would be between the years 1933-1940. (Click on photo for a larger view)

I will briefly describe each photo, as best to my knowledge. The photograph on the left depicts the Crucifix that hung on the kitchen wall of the Giannini home upon which Jesus miraculously "came to life" and embraced Gemma during an extraordinary ecstasy.
Click here for more info about this miracle of the Crucifix

The bottom photo was an urn that contained a statue of St Gemma. I wish I could provide more details about this photo, but I unfortunately I have none at this time.

The photo to the right is the beautiful reliquary the the Passionists gave to His holiness, Pope Pius XI, on the occasion of the Beatification of St Gemma, on May 14, 1933. This beautiful, stunning reliquary contains a 1st class relic of St Gemma, and is currently kept at the Vatican.

**Note: you can click on the photo to enlarge it for a better view.
"Oh, what immense joy and happiness my heart feels before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament! Jesus, soul of my soul!...my paradise!...holy Victim!...I am all yours! I felt that You were seeking me and I ran to You!" -St Gemma Galgani

Ah, i just can't look at these images without emotion. If you imagine the time when it was made. The emotions, the fact that there were still those around remembering her in person. Truly priceless.
